I'm going to Ireland!

I just found out this week that I will be going to Ireland. It will be for a class here at SWIC. I will be taking Hist 299 (Irish History) during the spring semester. Then at the end of May and the beginning of June I will be in Ireland for twelve days. The Hist 299 and the trip to Ireland are two different things, so I will be getting six credit hours all together. So pretty much I will be getting three credit hours in twelve days to have a great time in Ireland. I do have to write a fifteen page paper about the trip but that isn't a big deal.
It will be about $3,500 to go but it will be totally worth every penny. It includes my airfare, the 4-star hotels, dinners, breakfasts, museums, and our English talking tour guide. To the right is one of the many places I will get to visit. It is the Kilmainham Gaol (Jail). It was once a prison but is now a museum. It was built in 1796, where leaders of Irish rebellions were imprisoned and some were executed (http://www.igp-web.com/carlow/Kilmainham_Gaol.htm).
I can't wait to go, it is going to be the best experience of my life. I will get to share this experience with one of my best friends which will make it ten times better.

  1. Who is the teacher for that class? My mom knows a guy that teaches a History class and he is also going to Ireland this year.

  3. Ok so I'm going to try to stretch this into 100 words. I hope you have fun in Ireland which I know you will since the castles look like Lindenwood. The fifteen page paper does not sound fun at all but the rest of the trip sounds like a blast. I can tell you're excited by the title of your blog and the fact it turns pink. Ok so 21 words left I hope your English tour guide is interesting and the four star hotels are what you expected. Don't fall off a cliff and die but have fun in Ireland.

  5. That sounds like fun,and those credit hours are nice to get in only twelve days! I've always wanted to go to a different country, I mean i got to go to Cancun, Mexico this past summer, but down there you can't really leave the resort because it's so dangerous.Ireland sounds like a whole lot more fun though, the history will be amazing and I think that paper will be very easy to write after a trip like that! I've always wanted to go to Egypt. The history would be amazing, and I don't know, any place with alot of history I'm game for. I think it would be amazing to go inside the pyramid and check out all the old artifacts in them.
