Exhausted!

This weekend was a exhausting one. On Friday I went to class until 12:25 then went home ate and got ready to be at work at three in Fairview Heights. That night  I was working as a banquet server. I got paid nine dollars an hour and got ninety in tips which then made my hourly wage about twenty two. I got off work that night a little after eleven got home at midnight and was in bed a little before one. The next day I had to be right back there at nine until nine. I had a twelve hour shift that day because we were having two wedding receptions. One was at eleven and the other was at five. This was the first time we did two weddings in one day so we did not know how things would go but everything went great. I got off work at nine got home at ten and was in bed by eleven. I had to get up on Sunday at five to make it to work by seven. On Sunday however I was outside all day freezing and getting rained on. I had to grill hamburger and hot dogs for the tournament that was going on that day. Nothing at all was going right for me that day. The refrigerator went out so I had to put everything in coolers, the propane was left on all night by the girl the day before, and I had to deal with a lot of crabby golfers since it was rainy out.

My Weekend

This weekend was a busy one. I went to baseball games on Thursday and Friday night. Then on Saturday was my grandpa's wedding. Which was kind of weird because everyone would just look at me funny when they asked me what I was doing this weekend and I said I was going to my grandpa's wedding. It was a very long day with all the pictures and trying to keep all my little cousins in order ( I have ten of them that are eight or younger). When everything was all over at midnight, I ended up with my cousin's boyfriend's brand new Camaro and my eight year old cousin that feel asleep within a half an hour and I got forty dollars for watching her. On Sunday I had my friend's bridal shower. She is getting married on October 2. She is very young to be getting married, she just turned twenty this month. She also has a child that is almost a year. The bridal shower was here in Red Bud at Rats park. It was nice weather out when we had the shower a four that afternoon even though it rained all night and part of the morning.

Cardinals games this week

Tonight I will be at the Cardinals vs. Cubs game. One of my friends is in a fraternity at SIUE and they were selling tickets for tonights game for thirty five dollars ( face value of forty five). So tonight is more about seeing old friends I haven't seen in awhile than watching the Cardinals because lets face they are not doing so hot right now. Then on Thursday I will be going to the game when they play the Padres. I got four free tickets to the game so why not go. Then I will be at the game once again Friday night because I got buy one get one free in the Casino Queen Party Porch section. I will be paying about fifty dollars for three games which is a good deal. So this week I will be at a lot of the Cardinals games so lets hope they when because I not about to go watch a whole bunch of losing. But if they do lose them all well hopefully I am close enough to get a good view of Colby Rasmus because he is the hottest one the team and I will be wearing his jersey.

I'm going to Ireland!

I just found out this week that I will be going to Ireland. It will be for a class here at SWIC. I will be taking Hist 299 (Irish History) during the spring semester. Then at the end of May and the beginning of June I will be in Ireland for twelve days. The Hist 299 and the trip to Ireland are two different things, so I will be getting six credit hours all together. So pretty much I will be getting three credit hours in twelve days to have a great time in Ireland. I do have to write a fifteen page paper about the trip but that isn't a big deal.
It will be about $3,500 to go but it will be totally worth every penny. It includes my airfare, the 4-star hotels, dinners, breakfasts, museums, and our English talking tour guide. To the right is one of the many places I will get to visit. It is the Kilmainham Gaol (Jail). It was once a prison but is now a museum. It was built in 1796, where leaders of Irish rebellions were imprisoned and some were executed (http://www.igp-web.com/carlow/Kilmainham_Gaol.htm).
I can't wait to go, it is going to be the best experience of my life. I will get to share this experience with one of my best friends which will make it ten times better.
