Winter Break

For my final blog I did not know what to write about so I just figured winter break would be a good topic. I can not wait because this means I get to see all my best friends for longer than two days a month. This means a whole month of nothing to do other than have fun with my friends and family. However though I still will have to work a little on the weekends. This will be a good break but I have a feeling when school and my other jobs here at SWIC start up again that it will take me a couple weeks to get in the swing of things again. Speaking of my jobs at SWIC, this is a little off topic but, I just got another job other than being on the College Activities board. I will be in the front office so come in and say hi. A week from today is when break starts for me and I can not wait till then. I wish time could just fast forward a week.

Last minute college stress

This week has been crazy with all the essay that have been due. Of course me being me I waited till the last possible moment to do all of it. So I do not have anyone to blame for my stress other than me. Today I had an eight page or more essay due in my sociology 153. I wrote the paper on teen pregnancy. This subject I thought would be easy to do but surprisingly it was not. I also had a precis in my Ethics class that I had to write. I wrote it this morning in forty five minutes so I am not going to get a good grade. Now I am writing an essay for tomorrow for my Art history class. It is about Native American art. I hope that it is easier than the essays that I been doing. I really do not feel like staying up again till three in the morning. I do not do well with little sleep. Well this week will be over soon and then I will be happy again.

Due Date (Movie)

This past Friday I went out to eat and to see a movie with some friends. First we ate at Red Lobster, which was delicious as always. Then after that we went to go see the movie Due Date. Robert Downey Jr and Zach Galifianakis star in the movie. Ethan Tremblay (Zach Galifianakis) is on the same flight as Peter Highman (Robert Downey Jr.) but before it even can take off the get kicked off of it because of Ethan. They are both put on the no fly list. Peter's wife is pregnant and will be having the baby soon so he must now drive across county to get there in time but all his belongs including his wallet is on the plane that is long gone. So Peter ends up riding with Ethan across county which leads to a series of funny events. I thought the movie was funny but still had a point. A lot of funny movies do not have a point to it but this one did. I would recommend that you go and see it sometime soon it is not a waste of money to go see it.

So excited!

Tomorrow night will be my first meeting for my trip to Ireland after next semester. I will probably be blogging about Ireland a lot just because I am way to excited not to blog about it. During the meeting I will get to meet everyone that is coming along on the trip which is also exciting because I really want to know who I am going to be sharing this twelve day adventure with. I will also meet my professor that I will be taking Irish History with next semester. Also I will learn about what I need to bring to Ireland. I cant wait to know what kind of clothes I will need because then that means that I will need to go shopping. I am working like crazy to save up money for this trip. I am about half way there so I need to pick it up on the making money part because all the money is due in February. I am so excited to get there even though it is still about six months away.

Runaways

This past weekend I watched the Runaways to see what all the hype was about. Needless to say the movie was over talked about. It was just a regular common movie that you are not sure to like or not. Kristen Stewart plays Joan Jett and Dakota Fanning plays Cherie Currie. When I first heard that Dakota Fanning was playing Cherie Currie, I thought she would be to young but come to find out while watching the move Currie was only fifteen when she started singing for the Runaways. Like every movie there was good parts and bad parts. The drug and sex scenes dragged on even though I know that did play a major role in their lives. I always liked seeing what their crazy manager would say or do next. All together I would say that if it is a boring night and nothing is on tv to watch the Runaways, it is not that bad. It just is not great that I would go out of my way to see it.
